Blueberries covered in buds. In the snow.Garlic that is now about eight inches tall. In the snow.Girl, keep yer hands off of the seed packets.
Ha ha, snow. Snow. SNOW. Ha, ha. Both you and Jessie are getting buried and the big storm completely missed us! However, it is colder than a witch's tit here....I wonder if witch's tits really are cold.
OMG! thanks for the reminder. we had 75 degree weather today, and i decided it was officially spring, and time to plant! though we didn't get that eastern storm, we certainly COULD get something like that before spring officially hits.will the garlic be ok? i just (optimistically) pulled back the straw mulch on mine.
I think that unless it gets *really, really* cold and stays that way, it will be fine. It's tough stuff, and chances are any cold snap at this point will be quick. I pulled away a lot of the straw from just around each bulb, about two or three weeks ago, and they all responded with a big growth spurt! I look forward to hearing how yours comes out! (Such patience, this garlic requires!!!)xoHeather
